Following the NEWS’ call for readers to submit photographs of potholes in the area, two submissions were received.
The NEWS photographed a pothole in the Greenstone area.
Mr Richard Wilson commented on the NEWS’ Facebook page and said that he had to dodge the pothole every day.
Shortly after the NEWS published the photograph, a team arrived to fill the gaping hole.
According to Ms Natasha Bird, “It was strange to drive past the Bedfordview and Edenvale News offices and not have to ‘dodge’ the pothole”.
Mr Daniel Markus Lehmann submitted the following two photographs of potholes in Thirteenth Avenue, Edenvale.
The photographs were taken between Eighth and Ninth streets.
“I have not seen a road this bad in Edenvale in a long time. Actually, I have never seen a road this bad in Edenvale,” said Mr Lehmann.
Further down Thirteenth Avenue, Mr Lehmann photographed another section of the road.
“Seriously, where are our taxes disappearing to?” he asked,
Mr Lehmann added that Elm Street also needed to be resurfaced.
“They (council) patch a hole every couple months but every month there is another one. Patching clearly is not cutting it anymore,” he said.
