Mandela Day at Bedford Centre

Mandela Day was celebrated at the Bedford Centre with the collection of foods and items for the Germiston and Bedfordview SPCA and The Grace Factory.

The Grace Factory is a non-profit organisation that collects baby items and distributes them to other non-profit organisations such as children’s home and orphanages.

According to Ms Nikki Savides, marketing manager at the Bedford Centre, “Shoppers showed how much they cared by dropping off old and new baby clothes, food for our furry friends, toys and blankets.”

“We are thrilled by the outcome and glad that Bedford could make a difference in our community. We hope to carry on this tradition not just on Mandela Day, but throughout the year,” said Ms Savides.
