Homeless man killed, burnt

The deceased was later found in a dustbin with his legs cut off and burnt.

A homeless man was found burnt beyond recognition in Sebenza on Friday, July 4.

According to the Sebenza SAPS communications officer, Constable Sharon Mahamba, there was a fight involving possibly four people at the Sebenza informal settlement.

One of the men was injured and taken to hospital. The other man, who is believed to be a Zimbabwean with the nickname Mugabe, tried to run away from the fight.

According to Const Mahamba, it is believed the suspects began chasing the victim. He was caught and subsequently killed.

The deceased was later found in a dustbin with his legs cut off and burnt.

The victim has yet to be identified the police officers are still looking for his family.
