Krejcir claims heart attack

According to Lt Gen Makgale, all the items were confiscated and seized by investigators.

Lieutenant-General Solomon Makgale has confirmed that Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir did not suffer a heart attack.

This comes after several reports emerged on Wednesday, July 2, that Krejcir had been admitted to hospital after suffering a suspected heart attack.

“Krejcir complained of a heart attack, however this was found to be false after an examination. After Krejcir complained of a heart attack, investigators conducted a search which revealed he was in possession of a cellular phone, a television and had access to radio and the internet,” said Lt Gen Makgale.

According to Lt Gen Makgale, all the items were confiscated and seized by investigators.

“Krejcir is not ill and has not suffered a heart attack. He is currently detained at a medical facility and is being checked regularly by medical staff. A court order was issued during his bail application which said he must be detained at a medical facility,” said Lt Gen Makgale.

The South Gauteng High Court issued the order that Krejcir be held in the hospital wing after his doctor gave evidence that he could suffer from renal failure if he did not get treatment. The order was made in November last year.

Krejcir, together with five others, is accused of the kidnapping, assault, and attempted murder of Mr Bheki Lukhele, in order to get to his brother. The brother is known only as Doctor, who is linked to a R24-million crystal meth deal that went wrong in June.

Krejcir is also accused of conspiring to murder Colonel Ximba and Private Investigator Paul O’Sullivan earlier this year. @BedfordJounro
