Sarens Edenvale Marathon gives back

A school bursary was also awarded to the school which entered the most runners into the five kilometre KidneyBeanz challenge.

The proceeds from the Sarens Edenvale Marathon were recently handed over to a variety of charity organisations.

KidneyBeanz, which assists children with life-threatening kidney diseases, received R25 000.

R14 000 was handed over to Reach for a Dream.

The Edenvale-based Tiles4Change received R34 000 and Tannahs Gift received R25 000.

A school bursary was also awarded to the school which entered the most runners into the five kilometre KidneyBeanz challenge.

Edenvale High School won the main prize of R15 800, sponsored by Sarens.

Edenvale High School also won the award for hosting the best water point on the day.

The Sarens Edenvale Marathon will take place on March 8 next year.
