League learns about mushrooms

Ms Sherry Edden, a sales manager and Ms Sylvia Godsil, a key accounts manager from Highveld Mushrooms, were the guest speakers when the Bedfordview Household Consumers‘ League meeting took place on Wednesday, June 11.

The meeting took place at the James Auditorium in Bedfordview.

Ms Edden and Ms Godsil informed the members of the league about the Highveld Mushrooms company, which is the largest privately owned mushroom farm in South Africa.

Ms Edden gave insight of how the compost is made, how the product is processed then cooked and provided a taster of the various mushrooms grown at the farm.

“What I loved about the members of the Household Consumers’ League that were in attendance is that they were proactive. Our message was well-received and the interaction with the members was good,” said Ms Edden @BedfordJourno
