South African Indies Music Week 2014

The South African Indies Music Week is currently being held at the Lyric Theatre.

The event takes place until April 27.

Over 30 bands made of up and coming musicians from around the country are showcasing their music.

The event is organised by the Independent Music Exporters South Africa (IMEXSA).

After the five days of showcasing, a few acts will be selected and announced at the finale on April 27.

Their performances will be submitted for possible selection to various major music conferences around the world.

The event includes workshops and lessons daily.

Showcases start at 8.30pm

Workshops starts from 7pm. Saturday festivities starts at 7.30pm and the Sunday finale at 4pm.
