Resident hijacked by two armed men

Two men armed emerged from the vehicle with firearms pointed at him.

A Bedfordview resident was hijacked on April 16 at 6.20pm.

The victim arrived home and opened the gate to enter the premises.

He entered and while waiting for the garage door to open, he heard the sound of a vehicle stopping behind him.

When the man noticed that the vehicle was not his wife’s, he immediately reversed into the vehicle.

Two men armed emerged from the vehicle with firearms pointed at him.

The men demanded that the victim exit his vehicle. One of them searched the man for any valuables while the other searched for valuables in the garage.

The two men then fled the scene with the man’s vehicle.

The Bedfordview SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi said, “The owner’s vehicle was later recovered in the Katlegong area. Investigations are still ongoing and the resident was unharmed during the hijacking.”
