Bedfordview voting stations

With the general elections coming up on Wednesday, May 7, community members are advised know the voting stations in their areas.

According to the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) website, the voting stations for residents in the Bedfordview area are the Bedfordview City Hall, at the corner of Hawley and Nicol roads, the Cornerstone Church on Bernard Road in Morning Hill, Bedfordview High School on Healy Street and the Bedfordview Scout Hall on Florence Road.

Community members who need more information about the upcoming elections, such as the confirmation of registration details and voting station locations, can contact the IEC call centre on 0800 11 8000. Alternatively, visit the IEC web site www.elections.org.za for more information.

Residents who want confirmation on whether or not they are registered and where they should vote, can also send an SMS with their ID number to 32810.

The final list of candidates contesting the elections will be published on April 22 and certificates will be issued to candidates by April 24.
