Modderfontein Library to host March coffee morning

He trained as a game ranger and spent five years in the Lowveld during which time he published a number of articles in Africa Wild magazine.

The Friends of Modderfontein Library will host a coffee morning today, March 28 at the Modderfontein Library with guest speaker Mr James Hendry.

Mr Hendry completed an honours degree in wildlife science at the University of Natal.

His thesis focused on the Zulu people and the oNgoye Forest Reserve.

He trained as a game ranger and spent five years in the Lowveld during which time he published a number of articles in Africa Wild magazine.

Mr Hendry subsequently enrolled at the University of Cape Town and completed a Masters Degree in Human Development, focusing on people living around game reserves.

When he is not writing or involved in wildlife, Mr Hendry works as a professional musician, guitar teacher and soundtrack writer.

The morning promises to be entertaining and enjoyable and all members of the public are welcome to attend.

The event will start with refreshments at 9.30am while the talk will start at 10am.

Cost is R20 per person.
