Jeppe High School for Boys participated in its first ever orienteering meeting on February 17 at Summit College.
The results were as follows:
- Brodrick Phal 28 out of 84 in a time of 21:31.
- Zach Springfield 47 out of 84 in a time of 25:26.
- Carl Holmes 26 out of 34 in a time of 35:29.
- Garrin Walker 28 out of 34 in a time of 37:56.
The boys were encouraged, seeing as this was their first attempt.
They are however, not Jeppe’s first orienteers. Alex Pope and Michael Crone represented South Africa in orienteering events overseas since matriculating.
