Brain of the Day chosen

Parkwood’s Mr Gareth Louw was named the Brain of the Day on Saturday, February 22, as he won the third quarterfinal in the Brain of 702 with Dis-Chem.

Hundreds of trivia enthusiast flocked to the Greenstone Shopping Centre to try their luck in the Wildcard rounds of the Brain of 702.

Each week for the duration of the four week campaign, the radio quiz competition travels to a different shopping mall around Gauteng, inviting listeners to participate in an open round of quizzing to determine the 6th finalist for the weekly quarter-finals, which take place immediately after the Wildcard finalist is chosen.

On Saturday, the Wildcard winner joined the five daily winners from the week to try take the title of quarter-final winner. Ultimately, it was Mr Louw who beat the other contestants with a winning score of 15. Gareth took home R5 000 courtesy of Dis-Chem and has secured his place in the semi-finals, to take place on March 1 at Sandton City.
