Charities benefit from Food Mountain
The community built the Food Mountain by dropping donations in the red bins placed at the exit of Karaglen Spar.
Mamba Security, together with Karaglen Spar, handed over a mountain of non-perishable food collected through the Food Mountain initiative as part of the Christmas Charity Drive.
The charities which received food included Little Eden, the Edenvale Care Centre Hospice, the SPCA, Hospice East Rand, Hospice Harmelia, Edenvale Child Welfare, Khanyisa Soup Kitchen, Klopperpark Family Feeding Project and the Edenvale Senior Citizens Society.

A sizeable donation was also made by Mr Harry Karamichael from Karaglen Spar.
