SAPS support campaign

The Bedfordview SAPS took part in a neighbourhood walk as part the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children.

The walk took place in Bedfordview on December 4. This year’s initiative was launched by President Jacob Zuma on November 28, at the Ikhaya Lethemba Centre in Braamfontein.

This year’s theme is peace in the home to peace in the world.

The Bedfordview SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi said, “We are walking in recondition of the 13th annual 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children. As police officials, we are saying we support this initiative. We have a part to play and we are saying this is a problem in society. We need to take a stand as men in South Africa and as a society.”
