Taking care of business

The highly-anticipated launch of The Leadership 2020 book also took place on the same day.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) and Leadership 2020 have joined hands and hosted the first Ekurhuleni Leadership 2020 Seminar.

The event, themed Taking care of business, took place on Monday, December 2, at Emperors Palace.

The highly-anticipated launch of The Leadership 2020 book also took place on the same day.

The release of the book officially marked a bold move by the popular DJ, Mr Sbusiso Leope, to add to his many titles as an author and publisher.

The book featured an esteemed line-up of local and international authors and has pre-sold thousands of copies.

Leadership 2020 is a positive change movement, led by social entrepreneur, media personality and music mogul Mr Leope, who, with a team of entrepreneurs, works daily to motivate and positively uplift the mind-sets and attitudes of young South Africans, building 2020 Leaders.

Leope, who was recently nominated for the Forbes Africa Person of The Year title, is a fearless, hungry, workaholic, who boldly announces to his audiences, “I won’t quit, I’ll outwork anybody and I want more.”

“This is by far the most exciting time of our growth for us, as we are bringing people our vision in the form of creative and motivational expression; we are promoting a positive mind-set, healthy lifestyle and education, and making sure you have fun while you do it,” said Mr Leope.

The executive mayor of Ekurhuleni, Clr Mondli Gungubele, was excited about hosting the seminar, which fitted seamlessly into the city’s plans to become Africa’s first aerotropolis.

“The time has come for all our young people to assume responsibility for their own lives and start shaping their own futures,” said Clr Gungubele.
