A house was robbed in Briggs Lane, Bedfordview, during the early hours of the morning on October 26.
This marks the fourth house robbery which occurred in October. According to the Bedfordview SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi, “The home owner was approached by an unknown man, complaining about his stomach. When the woman informed the man she could not help him, another man emerged with a firearm pointed at her.”
The men demanded entry into the house. The victim lead the men to the safe. The perpetrators stole cash, a television and a home theatre system. The men also stole the victim’s ID book, passport and car documents. Before fleeing, the suspects locked the victim and her gardener up in a room.
No arrests have been made but the police are investigating.
