Bedfordview bombing victims identified

The explosion which killed two men and injured three others took place at the corner of Bradford and Nicol roads in Bedfordview.

Two victims of a bombing at Mr Radovan Krejcir’s Money Point shop have been identified as Mr Ronny Malesele Bvuma and Mr Jan (John) Charvat.

The explosion which killed Mr Bvuma and Mr Charvat and injured three others took place at the corner of Bradford and Nicol roads in Bedfordview on November 12.

Identification of the type of bomb used will only be completed after sufficient evidence has been collected from the scene.

A source confirmed to the NEWS that injuries on the bodies of the victims were caused by shrapnel in the form of nuts and bolts.

This afternoon crime scene investigators were still combing the area for evidence.

It has been confirmed that the SAPS know the whereabouts of Mr Krejcir and will locate him should he be needed for questioning.

Earlier Gauteng SAPS spokesperson, Brigadier Neville Malila said, “There is not much we can add to the first statement. I spoke to some of the investigators and there are no new developments”.

“Krejcir is not a suspect at the moment. No suspects have been arrested and the motive of the bombing is still unknown. A national intervention team is handling the case and consists of detectives from the Hawks, the provincial and national SAPS,” said Brig Malila.

The incident follows the murder of Mr Veselin Laganin on Novermber 2, the murder of Mr Sam Issa on October 12.

  1. But since there is some link to da owner of the the owner of the shop must be questioned because residents are already complaining about him.
