Other activities will include promoting the use, and importance, of public transport.

“This year’s events will include school debates on various transport-related topics and free vehicle-testing for public transport operators, trucks, buses and taxis. The highlight will be the 2 000 high school pupils from underprivileged backgrounds who will be trained and tested, at no charge, for their learner’s license,” the mayor said.
