Bok fever and birthday celebration enjoyed at Inyoni Creek

“From jerseys to scarves and even a few rugby balls thrown into the mix, their commitment to the theme was undeniable."

The Inyoni Creek monthly birthday tea recently transformed into a spirited celebration with a rugby twist.

The clubhouse buzzed with excitement as residents and staff gathered to honour those with September birthdays.
Residents took the theme to heart, going the extra mile to showcase their Springbok spirit.

“They sported an array of rugby-related accessories. From jerseys to scarves and even a few rugby balls thrown into the mix, their commitment to the theme was undeniable,” said Inyoni Creek’s social worker Shaun Victor.

Adding to the excitement was the chance to win a Springbok rugby hamper filled with rugby-themed snacks and goodies.

The best dressed winner, Lorraine Pintusewitz, wore a Springbok jersey and was creatively wrapped in bandages and tape as if she had just come off the rugby field.

Masha has lived at Inyoni Creek since 2014, and her presence added a touch of grace and wisdom to the festivities.

“The event captured the spirit of community that defines Inyoni Creek Retirement Village, leaving everyone eagerly anticipating the upcoming Rugby World Cup and the many more celebrations to come,” said Shaun.
