Nominations for the Gauteng Women in Sports Awards now open

Gauteng Women in Sports Regional Award nominations are open and will close on August 31.

The awards are a women in sport empowerment initiative by NPO Futballing Girls.

Moonira Ramathula launched it in Ekurhuleni in 2018.

The awards are aimed at recognising, celebrating, honouring and rewarding women and individuals achievements and their efforts in growing girls sport participation, creating awareness as well as growing the brand of women in sport from regional level to provincial.

• Volunteer of the year.

• Sportswoman of the year

• Sportswoman of the year with disability

• School Sports Athlete of the year

• Administrator of the year

• Coach of the year

• Sponsor of the year

• Technical Official of the year
