Edenvale SPCA receives a helping hand

The shop has unique items for sale as well as great books waiting to be bought and read.

Over 500kg of dog food was donated to Edenvale SPCA when two local businesses partnered to assist the animal welfare society.

Edenvale SPCA thanked Max Benjamin from the Dowerglen SPAR and Daryl Sogot from Jack Russell Estates who donated 63 8kg bags of dog food.

Max, a big animal supporter, often works together with Jack Russell Estates to raise funds for the SPCA.

Edenvale SPCA is growing from strength to strength.

Last month the organisation opened its bookshop, located on the SPCA’s property near its second-hand shop.

The shop has unique items for sale as well as great books waiting to be bought and read.

Community members are invited to visit the shop during the week and on Saturday mornings.

With winter in the air, it also provides community members with the prime opportunity to clear out cupboards, and bookshelves and donate items still in good condition.

Items can be dropped off at Edenvale SPCA located on Bhacus Road in Sebenza, Edenvale.
