Golf Day benefits local NPOs

The Balderstone Sports Institute’s third-year students hosted the event as part of their academic programme.

The Charity Golf Day fundraiser at Royal Johannesburg raised R32 000, with the proceeds going to the Breast Health Foundation and Route 24 Cares, an NPO that caters for skills development and job creation in the tourism sector.

The Balderstone Sports Institute’s third-year students organised the event as part of their practical assessment for their diplomas.

Not all the players finished their rounds because poor weather interrupted the event.

“Well done, and thank you to our students, our generous sponsors and our good-humoured players, who ensured we had another memorable and successful day, raised funds and created awareness for two great causes.

“We look forward to seeing you all at our next Charity Golf Day in 2024,” said the school.
