St Andrew’s postpone fundraiser due to weather

Initially, the festival was meant to take place on March 31 and aimed to raise funds for the school’s rowing club.

St Andrew’s School for Girls’ food and wine festival has been shelved for May 26.

The school announced the change of dates on March 29 citing unpredictable rainy weather as the cause for postponing the event.

Initially, the festival was meant to take place on March 31 and aimed to raise funds for the school’s rowing club.

Head of marketing, Caterina Cannone, said the unstable weather has been causing concern for the outdoor festival.

“As a result, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the event to May, when the weather is more likely to be rain-free.

“We hope that the community can join us then.

“While we know this is disappointing, our priority is the enjoyment, safety and comfort of our guests and vendors,” she stated.

The festival will include wine stalls, a gin bar, food stalls, raffles, craft beer and champagne tasting.

There will also be live music.
