Child Welfare supports Dowerglen High

Donations can be delivered to the school or other arrangements can be made by calling 011 609 8227.

Thirty loaves of bread were donated to Dowerglen High School by Child Welfare SA – Edenvale and Bedfordview.

The donation went to the school’s feeding scheme that aims to feed 300 children needing daily meals.

The principal of the school, Dr Larry Harmer, thanked the organisation for the much-needed donation.

He appealed to the community for jam, margarine, butter and sandwich spreads to help make sandwiches for the children.

Harmer said the school is in talks with Dowerglen KwikSpar to have a collection trolley outside the store where shoppers can donate sandwich spreads and non-perishable foods to the feeding scheme.
