Pet food and funds collected for local SPCAs

While welcoming Spring, representatives from Jack Russel Estates held a fundraiser in Dowerglen to collect food and raise funds for Edenvale SPCA as well as the Bedfordview and Germiston SPCAs.

Held in front of the Dowerglen KwikSpar on August 27 the initiative encouraged community members to donate pet food.
It also had a sale of boerewors rolls and raffle tickets which contributed to the funds raised.
Daryl Sogot of Jack Russel Estates said the day went well with a large amount of pet food being collected.
He thanked Schindlers Attorneys and STBB Attorneys who donated the raffle hampers.
“A big thank you to everyone who assisted in our Spring Day fundraiser at the Dowerglen Spar,” said Samantha du Toit principal at Jack Russel Estates.
“The event was well supported and R10 000 was raised.”

The winners of the raffle hampers were Anthony Marks, Arthur Claassens and Kerryn Gouws.
In the coming weeks, Jack Russel Estates will support Edenvale Ferals and Edenvale SPCA at its golf day scheduled for September 22.
