“If you have not received said response, please visit your nearest the City of Ekurhuleni Customer Care Centre Rates Hall and ask to see the Supplementary Valuation Roll.”

Ratepayers who missed the April 30 deadline to lodge objections to the 2021/25 Municipal Valuation Roll have up until July 29 to submit their Section 78 queries.

MMC for City Planning, Ward 18 Councillor Ald Heather Hart said property owners can submit queries as per the Municipal Property Rates Act.

“According to the municipal valuers, all queries received were resolved and responses sent.”

“If you have not received said response, please visit your nearest the City of Ekurhuleni Customer Care Centre Rates Hall and ask to see the Supplementary Valuation Roll.”

Hart explained that community members need to visit a CCC to view the Supplementary Valuation Roll as it cannot be shared online until permission is granted by National COGTA.

She said the reason for this was because there was an objection regarding putting personal information on the internet.

“Ratepayers who are not satisfied may then lodge a formal objection to this valuation via the objection form on the City of Ekurhuleni’s website under Property Rates.
