Edenglen High turns trash into treasure

More than 20 learners put over 30 hours into the project when they glued the bottle caps onto a piece of wood to resemble the school emblem.

During November, Edenglen High School’s media and communications team, with the guidance of Ms Vink, started a recycling project using bottle caps.

The idea for the project, to create the school emblem out of recycled bottle caps, was initiated by deputy principal of Edenglen High School Desi Naidoo.

Nine thousand bottle caps were used for this project.

More than 20 learners put over 30 hours into the project when they glued the bottle caps onto a piece of wood to resemble the school emblem.

Edenglen High thanked the RCLs who assisted with collecting the bottle caps.

The school gave special thanks to Mr de Rijk, Mr Wium and Mr Ralineba, who assisted with the mounting of the school emblem in the gym.
