Dragons train with world cup gold medallist

“The energy and vibe that Sweeney brought to the team were second to none and we are so excited about the training and racing that lies ahead.”

Dragons Swimming Club was thrilled to have South African swimmer Ayrton Sweeney, who hosted an all-about-swimming clinic for team members.

Held on September 4, Sweeney, a world cup gold medallist and SA champion, started the morning off with a motivational talk about his experiences throughout his swimming career before he started the land training and a practical session in the pool.

During the practical session, the Dragons took the most away as they worked on technique and turns with Sweeney at the helm.
