A case of theft was recently opened by Bedfordview SAPS after a man was arrested in connection to a scam.
According to a Facebook post, the suspect was traced to Senderwood Restaurant by a community-based tracking and tracing initiative.
The tracking and tracing initiative included the help of community members, private security, the victim and SAPS officers.

Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson Capt André de Jager said the male suspect was arrested for theft on April 26.
He added the suspect appeared in court on April 28.
At the time this article was published, the outcome of the first court appearance was unknown.
