Writing competition open for entries
Entry fees will cost club members R20 and non-members R50 per category entry.
Community members and aspiring writers with a flair for writing are encouraged to enter Writers 2000 annual writing competition.
Categories are as follows:
• Fiction – middle grade (ages eight to 12 years old) or young adult (13 to 19 years old), 1 500 to 2 000 words.
• Flash fiction – young children (three to seven years old), maximum of 500 words.
• Poetry – any theme but no more than 75 lines.
• Haiku – any theme but traditional style.
