Smooth sailing as Edenglen High welcomes back learners

“It was lovely having learners back at school bringing Edenglen High School back to life.”

With the resumption of the academic year, Edenglen High School has wished all of its learners a happy, healthy and safe new year.

Although schools were scheduled to re-open on January 27, delays attributed to Covid-19 saw the reopening of public schools pushed back to February 15.

“This was a blow to Edenglen High as the school was prepared and ready to welcome back its leaners,” said Georgette Peristeris, public relations officer and marketing coordinator of Edenglen high.

“Edenglen High learners were excited and eager to begin the 2021 school year.”

On February 15, the school welcomed back its learners and the new Grade Eights for 2021. Learners were well prepared to return, knowing all the Covid-19 regulation procedures they had learnt in 2020.

Georgette said youth development assistants sent by the Department of Education to assist staff with ensuing all its leaners are safe were present on the day.
