Burglars target and ransack Child Welfare SA – Edenvale and Bedfordview

“Officers from Edenvale SAPS arrived at the property and took a statement on March 1,”

Food, appliances and an undisclosed amount of money were some of the items stolen from Child Welfare SA – Edenvale and Bedfordview over the weekend.

According to chairperson Pieter Le Roux, the welfare branch was broken into on February 28.

He said several doors were damaged as suspects searched the property for valuables.

Although Le Roux said Edenvale SAPS is conducting an investigation he believes the culprits cut power supply to the property’s uninterrupted power supply (UPS) system earlier on the day of the burglary and waited for its battery to die before breaking in.
