Little Eden Society thanks you for your ongoing support

"I take this opportunity, on behalf of our 300 precious residents, to say thank you for holding our hand and helping us ensure the quality of care given to our angels is never compromised."

Editor – The unfolding of 2020 took most of us by surprise and had us repeating the words “the new normal” over and over again.

Our reality here at Little Eden Society during the pandemic meant closing ourselves off to the public for the protection of our residents and staff, cancelling annual fund-raising events, restricted trade at our charity shop, managing cluster infection outbreaks, a decline in donations and significant unexpected and unbudgeted expenses.

One step at a time, we managed to successfully get through 2020.

I take this opportunity, on behalf of our 300 precious residents, to say thank you for holding our hand and helping us ensure the quality of care given to our angels is never compromised.

We would not have made it this far without your support and prayers through these trying times.

Even though the national precautionary restrictions have slowly been lifted and the country is gradually moving to a new normal, we know the impact of the virus will remain with us for a while.

As an organisation that cares for some of the most vulnerable members of society, we cannot afford to let our guard down.

As our gift to you this year we invite you to our virtual Christmas concerts for an opportunity to reconnect with us (albeit virtually) to witness the impact of your support on the lives of people with profound intellectual disability.

Detailed information about the concerts will soon be made available on our various communication platforms. Despite the restrictions and challenges Little Eden faces, we remain connected to you in prayer.

We are excited and grateful to share the long-awaited building upgrade project, made possible through an international funder, commenced in August with phase one.

We look forward to the contentment and improved care that these developments will provide for our angels.

We hope to be able to invite you to the new and improved premises once phase one of the project is completed.

We continue to trust in divine providence and to draw inspiration from our core values of respect, the sanctity of life and love, and care

.
I wish you and your loved ones a blessed and joyful Christmas and may the New Year bring you safety, peace and prosperity!
