Mochachos Karaglen takes their Hats Off

Every second month, management at the restaurant will choose an organisation that will receive a Mochachos meal as a symbol of appreciation.

Mochachos Karaglen would like to take their Hats Off to organisations in the community that work for the benefit of others.
To do this, the restaurant recently launched its Hats Off initiative.

“We want to recognise organisations in Edenvale that, despite the global pandemic, have gone beyond the call of duty to uplift others,” said Mochachos Karaglen manager Muhammad Hayat.

He added that during the harder lockdown levels many spheres of society worked hard and received very little recognition.

“Teachers are some of the most underappreciated members of our society. They had to adapt quickly to a new way of doing things.

They have made immeasurable sacrifices during the pandemic. Teachers are the ones that bring more doctors and specialists into this world,” Muhammad said.

He also said police officers also played an important role in assisting residents during the pandemic and deserved recognition.

“Then there are the dedicated caregivers who worked at old age homes and orphanages. Nurses and doctors who ensured every patient was cared for and organisations who worked to feed the less fortunate in the community,” Muhammad said.

He said putting the initiative together has not been easy.

“Only a few of our suppliers were willing to get on board with us, but this is something we feel needs to be done.”

Residents who would like to nominate an organisation in the greater Edenvale area to which Mochachos Karaglen can take their Hats Off can email their suggestion to mochachoskaraglen2@gmail.com
