St Andrew’s recognises girls’ achievements

A number of matric learners from St Andrew's School for Girls were recently rewarded for their achievements in various fields.

A number of matric learners from St Andrew’s School for Girls were recently rewarded for their achievements in various fields.

Performing arts half colours were awarded to Claudia Breimaier, while full colours in the same field were re-awarded to Tatiana Swanson and Charlotte Cannone.

Claudia and Uchechi Umah received public speaking half colours and Charlotte and Gomolemo Moloi were re-awarded for this achievement.

Public speaking full colours were awarded to Georgia Catzevelos, Sarah Kromhout and Tatiana.

The school also awarded colours and half colours to matric learners in the field of winter sports and music.

Hockey half colours were awarded to Nicole Chetty, Sarah Thurston, and re-awarded to Alessia Surmon.

Hockey honours were awarded to Emma Paget.Netball half colours were awarded to Amy Whyte, Cameron de Klerk, and re-awarded to Tyla Wood.

Netball honours were awarded to a Grade 11 learner Thandolwethu Makhaza.Music awards took the form of a Senior Service Certificate that is awarded to a girl who has given four years of dedicated service to the activity.

Where an auxiliary task that added value to the functioning of the activity has been performed, a Pro-Merito is awarded after five years of exceptional service to the activity.

Senior Service Certificate re-award for Marimba was awarded to Vuyokazi Mofokeng.

A Senior Service Certificate for orchestra was awarded to Shanae Stevens and Tatiana, while Hayley White received the same award for a cappella.

A Senior Service Certificate for a cappella and choir and re-award of a Pro-Merito Service Certificate for marimba was awarded to Reneiloe Mashiatshidi.
