Resident left frustrated after payment uncertainty

"I was told I have till the end of July before the next termination notice will go out."

Frustrated consumer writes:

I paid my council June bill on June 6 via Siyakhokha platform but on June 26 I received a pre-termination notice.

I went to the council and was told to email the POP which I did at their offices.

Three subsequent visits to follow up have yielded no results.

I was told I have till the end of July before the next termination notice will go out.

I have paid, why do I need till end July?

Bedfordview councillor, residents concerned about water wastage

I contacted the councillor and was informed that due to a lack of manpower, payments are not being allocated.

But, hang on, they have the staff to issue notices out.

It does not make sense.

As of 12 July, this is still not resolved.

My questions to the municipality remain: how can you issue termination notices out when you don’t even know who has paid and who has not and when will my specific issue be resolved?
