Covid-19: 94 additional coronavirus deaths as recoveries reach 47k

South Africa has recorded 94 more coronavirus fatalities to push the death toll to 1 831.
Covid-19 mortality rate in South Africa remains at 2.1 per cent.

The total number of Covid-19 recoveries in South Africa to date stands at 47 825 which also means that South Africa has a virus recovery rate of 54.5 per cent.

The Western Cape total case number as at June 19 stands at 48 706 with 34 067 recoveries.
The total number of recorded cases in Gauteng now stands at 17 261 with 4 001 recoveries.

The Eastern Cape has recorded a total of 13 506 coronavirus cases as well as 6 331 recoveries.
The total number of cases in Kwa-Zulu Natal stands at 4 548 and recoveries for the province stands at 2 507.
North West has recorded a total of 1 758 positive cases as well as 175 recoveries
The total number of tests conducted stands at 1 260 434.
Of these 32 336 tests were conducted in the 24 hours between June 18 and June 19.
The private sector has conducted 19 900 new tests to bring the total number of tests conducted to 617 294.
The public sector has conducted a total of 643 140 tests, 12 436 of which are new.
