The Malvern Clinic hosted an open day on November 29 to promote better health care among the community and also showcased what the facility offers.
The clinic committee was complimented on its improved health care to patients.
People came in numbers to take advantage of the free medical tests, including blood pressure, TB and HIV.
Health promoter at the clinic Frans Moagi said the open day was aimed at informing patients about the services available at the clinic and to create awareness about the importance of health care.
“We create awareness among patients so they can know that the clinic offers services free of charge. We recently extended hours and now open at 7am.
“People are reminded that all the public services are the same and we deal with many people,” said Moagi.
He said the clinic is working on improving its appointment system to reduce waiting time for patients.
The clinic is on the corner of 26th and Jules streets in Malvern. Contact the clinic on 011 622 1245.
