Kudos for bright sparks

KENSINGTON – Jeppe High School boys awarded for their hard work.

Jeppe High School for Boys’ top academic achievers last year were given awards on 31 January.

The Grade 8 top achiever was Ashirvaan Sookoo and the Grade 9 top achiever was Liam Stott. Jonathan Bosch was the top achiever among Grade 10s while Preston van Tonder got top marks among Grade 11s.

Top achievers for an individual subject in Grade 8:

  • Ashirvaan Sookoo for English and creative arts
  • Rynhardt Kuhn for Afrikaans
  • Mzwakhe Mashabe for Zulu
  • Liam Thomas for life orientation, EMS and natural sciences
  • Brett Harson for maths
  • Cole Naamdhew for social sciences
  • Aron Horn for technology.

Top achievers for an individual subject in Grade 9:

  • Liam Stott was the top achiever in maths and social sciences
  • Mnqobi Magadla for English, as well as economic and management sciences
  • Matthew Ellis for Afrikaans
  • Ushir Moonilal for life orientation, and economic and management sciences
  • Yannick van Dorp for creative arts
  • Muhammed Akoojee for natural sciences
  • Bradley Moore for technology.

Grade 10 top achievers for individuals subjects:

  • Jonathan Bosch for English, history and life sciences
  • Irfaan Seedat for Afrikaans
  • Dumisa Thubelihle for Zulu
  • Cameron Smook for life orientation
  • Moeketsi Mashibini for accounting
  • Shaur Batohi for applied maths and maths
  • Andrew Millar for business studies
  • Ross Olive for CAT/civil technology and maths literacy
  • Abdullah Bemath for engineering graphics and design and physical science
  • Pregan Govender for information technology
  • Justin van Aardt for geography
  • Laudio Abelho for visual art.

Grade 11 top achievers for an individual subject:

  • Preston van Tonder for Afrikaans, life orientation, accounting, applied maths, maths, life sciences and physical sciences
  • Matthew de Bie for English, business studies and history
  • Kyle Kallides received top marks for CAT/civil technology and engineering graphics and design
  • Jabulani Mdluli for Zulu
  • Ryan Naamdhew for geography
  • Avinal Garach for information technology
  • Nicolas Steensma for maths literacy.
