BAE welcomes Busamed to meeting

BAE annual fee is R80 per person.

Busamed Modderfontein Private Hospital provided an educational talk about the the facility at the Bedfordview Association for Elderly (BAE) on February 6.

Marketing manager at Busamed, Madeleine Goncalves, said the hospital is based in Linbro Park, just off Marlboro Drive, and is a 170-bed multi-disciplinary 24-hour facility equipped with state of the art equipment, including a brand new biplane cardiac catheterisation laboratory.

“The Modderfontein Oncology Centre also offers all types of cancer treatment, including brachytherapy, chemotherapy and radiation treatment,”said Goncalves.

She said the Modderfontein Orthopaedic Institute is a practice of orthopaedic specialities based in the hospital.

It includes, among others, a hand surgeon, spinal surgeon, shoulder surgeon, sports and soft tissue knee surgeon, foot and ankle surgeon as well as orthopaedic surgeons trained in robotics for knee replacements.

The 35-member BAE meets every Thursday at the James Saudie Auditorium in the Bedfordview Library, and enjoys addresses by speakers on occasion.
