NewDAY Church spreads Christmas cheer

NewDAY Church children's Christmas party began at 8.30am on November 30.

NewDAY Church in Edenvale hosted a children’s Christmas party held on the November 30.

Two-hundred children from the Bula-mahlo Home, Tshepang Care Centre and the Tembisa South Police station joined in on all the fun at the church.

The children got to have first-time experiences with water slides at NewDay Church.

The children enjoyed water slides, jumping castles and an aeroplane and helicopter carousel.

There was also a clown on stilts called “Popcorn” who walked around entertaining the children.

“Many of the children had never experienced a water slide in their lives before, so to see their happy, bubbly faces filled with excitement coming down the slides was so heart-warming to see,” said one of the NewDAY church members who also organised the party.

The party included face painting, 5D cinema, a slush, popcorn and candy floss machines, along with a dance-off.

The children also received a Christmas box from Santa.

“These children will always have this memory for their lifetime and so will the helpers who helped out on this special day,” said Sarah Sibiya from Tshepang Centre.
