#CaxtonCares reading campaign well received by readers, writers

"I once wrote the ‘Baby Babble’ column for the NEWS."

EDITOR – I am delighted that there has been so much focus on readers and writers in our community recently.

My writing career was mostly based on health-care freelance writing.

I once wrote the ‘Baby Babble’ column for the NEWS as a corporate writer for Huggies.

I was also an editor of a nursing magazine called Health and Hygiene.

Currently I am a blogger and my focus is online writing for mothers and babies mostly.

I have been a member for 23 years and learned all my writing skills through workshops, speakers, writing competitions and challenges.

We would like to attract younger members.

Young people have their future ahead of them, and writing certainly has its benefits, even if it’s learning how to write a proposal, your daily journal, a eulogy and the lost art of letter-writing.

We have some really talented writers in the group who keep us amused and entertained with their stories.
