EDITOR – I would like to thank Edenvale Fire Station for making my three-year-son, Slade, very happy.
They allowed us to pop in uninvited, and made him feel so at home.
We happened to be driving home past the Edenvale Fire Station and saw their garages open.
I thought I would stand outside with my son to show him the fire engines. He loves fire engines and wants to be a fireman.
He has even been to Modderfontein burnout to watch the fireman in action.
While getting out of our car and looking through the door a fireman approached us and let my son sit in the driver’s seat of the fire engine.
My son was in awe and so happy.
I just wanted to thank them for being so friendly and caring to take the time to make a son’s day.
My son woke up the following morning and asked if we could back to the fire station.
