The centre received donations from five businesses and Hurlyvale Primary School and was paid a visit by Department of Health representatives.

Marlene Hooper from the centre said she, Sister Leigh and the staff were busy the whole day.

“With all the donations that we received, our cupboards are bursting at the seams.”

Sister Leigh thanked the community profusely for their assistance and support.

She said one maintenance matter at the centre which requires attention is the painting of the clinic.

“The clinic really needs a facelift, I think the last time it was painted was 10 years ago.”
