Schools come together at Saheti School Winter Sports Festival

Sponsors of the festival were Sportsmans Warehouse, DTR Sports, John Dory's Greenstone and Condra.

Netball and football season came full circle at this year’s Saheti School Winter Sports Festival on June 8, with Saheti defending most of their titles.

This year saw 850 players from eight schools participating in football and netball matches, from u-9 to to open.

The matches were once again played in round robin format.

Bedfordview Primary School were up against St Catherine’s School in an u-13 netball match.

Saheti welcomed St Catherine’s School, Pinnacle College Kyalami, Bedfordview Primary School, Hurlyvale Primary School, Bishop Bavin School, HeronBridge College and St Martin’s College.

Netball winners of the respective age groups were u-10 Hurlyvale, u-11 Saheti and u-12 HeronBridge.

Bedfordview Primary School played against St Catherine’s School in an u-9 match.

The pen gold medal winners were Heron Bridge, with Hurlyvale taking the silver.

The trophy for the best netball school also went to HeronBridge.

Bedfordview Primary School won the netball match against St Catherine’s School.

Football winners of the respective age groups were Saheti in u-10 and u-11 and u-12 Hurleyvale.

The open gold medal winners were Saheti with silver medal going to Pinnacle Kyalami.

Saheti School took the lead over Hurleyvale Primary School in the u-9 match.

Saheti also took the trophy for the best football school.
