For the love of wildlife

Visitors are welcome to attend the talk.

Modderfontein Conservation Society will host a presentation on the love of wildlife.

The presentation will be about ‘how to give your children a chance to learn about South African conservation’ at the Modderfontein Town Hall, at 7.30pm on April 25.

Carmin Mohr, chairperson of the SANParks National Junior Honorary Rangers Project will head up the presentation team along with SANParks East Rand facilitators Charles Dey, James Tavendale, and Alison Coppin.

Members of SANParks Honorary Rangers will speak on how young people can learn about nature and conservation in a fun way.

Also how enrolling in the SANParks National Junior Honorary Rangers Project will help to instil a love of wildlife and a passion to learn more.

Junior Honorary Rangers are volunteers between the ages of 12 and 18 who take part in a youth development programme that hones various life skills.

It is the junior leg of the Honorary Rangers which have a tradition of volunteer service to SANParks.

They are also inspired to participate in the Junior Field Guide Association of Southern Africa training programme and to take part in voluntary work for conservation efforts such as ‘Wildlife in Crisis’.

Visitors are welcome to attend the talk.

An entrance fee of R30 is charged to help cover expenses.
