BREAKING NEWS: K9 and Bomb Disposal units find no explosives after Bedfordview bomb scare

A man on Whittaker Street alleged that he had received two phone calls about an explosive device on the premises.

Investigators from two police units didn’t find any explosives following a bomb threat in Bedfordview earlier today.

Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson Capt Andrè de Jager said a man on Whittaker Street alleged that he had received two phone calls at about 4pm that there was an explosive device on the premises.

De Jager said that a K9 unit was on the scene and searched the premises. Nothing was found.

“SAPS Bomb Disposal Unit was also on the scene and searched the premises. They did not find any explosives, “ said de Jager.

He said a docket has been opened at Bedfordview SAPS.
