The winning couple, Ntsikelelo Colossa and Khensani Msimango, set the bar high when they added a bit of a twist to their training session and posted the video on Facebook.

Ntsikelelo Colossa, Khensani Msimango, Vusi Colossa, Miss Earth SA Nazia Wadee, Khabonina Qubeka and Shaun and Sonia Powel at the Bedfordview Penthouse Square.

The video got over 1 000 views and likes when Khabonina posted it on her Instagram page – it’s no surprise they won.

“One of the criteria we judged couples on was the ability to freestyle and have fun while doing it. We encouraged couples to join in by creating their own styles, and Ntsika and Khensani did exactly that,” said Vusi.

“Another criterion was the post had to reach as many people as possible, so we could see how many people liked their session.”

As part of the competition, Vusi and Khabonina went to different areas and homes to see their #FitCouplesChallenge adaptations.

They liked how photographers Shaun and Sonia Powel worked well together as a couple and so the couple was invited to join Ntsikelelo and Khensani.

“The #FitCouplesChallange was not only limited to training together, but we also wanted couples to get used to doing things together, as a team. Shaun and Sonia exemplified that,” said Khabonina.

Ntsikelelo and Khensani have been together for three years. They told the NEWS the competition has brought them even closer together.

“My partner and I are not really into fitness, but having tried something like this together has brought a different perspective to our relationship. We had fun doing it and we are definitely much closer now,” said Ntsikelelo.

Khabonina told the NEWS next year they are planning on making the competition much bigger and better.
