Vini’s donates R6 215 to BCPF camera network

The money was raised to prevent crime within the Bedfordview community.

Billy Anderson, owner of Vini’s Restaurant in Bedfordview, handed over funds donated to the Bedfordview Community Policing Forum (BCPF) on October 5.

The funds were handed over to BCPF chairperson Gavin Henry, who gratefully welcomed the donation.

“We see this as a joint venture to update the CPF’s camera systems,” said Henry.

He said the camera network is the biggest drive at the moment as it is an ongoing cost.

In the future, Anderson said customers can still donate.

This can be done by adding R5 to each food bill whereby customers are welcome to opt in or out.

He said this will continue until December as a further trial period.
