Dickie Fritz Shell Hole to host fête and parade

The highlights of the day will be a presentation by Lt Col Wynand du Toit (ret.) from 4 Reconnaissance Regiment.

Moth Ex-Servicemen’s Cottage Association, Dickie Fritz and Moth Dickie Fritz Shell Hole in Edenvale, with assistance from the South African War Graves Society, will host a fête and parade on November 3 from 9am.

The day will include a flea market, militaria market, display of military vintage vehicles and classic cars and performances by two pipe bands.

The Moth Motor Cycle Associations East Rand will host a display of modern motorcycles and the TS-Rook Sea Cadets will hold a parade, display of military equipment from collectors and re-enactment groups.

The RLI (Rhodesian Light Infantry) will hold a prayer and wreath laying at the Moth Memorial.

The highlights of the day will be a presentation by Lt Col Wynand du Toit (ret.) from 4 Reconnaissance Regiment.

The Dickie Fritz Moth Cottages are based at 115 Dickie Fritz Avenue, Dowerglen.
